Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud

As a figure of business, technology enthusiast, and investor, Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud is a firm proponent of clean energy, healthy living, the humane treatment of animals, and a motivated voice for Middle East entrepreneurs.

A member of the Saudi Arabian royal family, Khaled was born in California and spent his youth in Riyadh under the mentorship of his father, philanthropist HRH Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud, Chairman and founder of Kingdom Holding Company.

Today, with holdings on three continents, Khaled stands at the gateway between the Middle East’s evolving economies and the Western world. He invests in an array of successful, but diverse global businesses—from promising technology startups to established companies in the construction sector.

In the real estate and property markets, Khaled serves as Vice Chairman of Arada, a UAE-based development company. Arada’s flagship master development, Aljada, a 24 million square foot integrated lifestyle destination, and a new leisure and entertainment hub for Sharjah.

Khaled serves as the Chairman of globally-recognized Italian manufacturer Raimondi Cranes. A collaborative partnership with Korea’s LiteOn, part of Khaled’s focus on sustainability, was developed to encourage adoption of LED lighting for traditional streetlights in the MENA region. This undertaking facilitates much-needed energy savings, as LiteOn’s LEDs substantially decrease consumption rates, and reflects Khaled’s interest in clean and green technologies.

In 2014, Khaled founded KBW Ventures, and currently serves as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. Focusing exclusively on venture capital, value creation and growth equity, KBW Ventures currently has a number of investments in headline-making future food companies including Upside Foods and BlueNalu.

With economic growth as a top-of-mind priority, Khaled advocates for Middle East entrepreneurial potential, acting as a steadfast supporter of various initiatives by continuing to engage with elements of the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Khaled also champions the region’s respective governments to continue to foster growth by providing and expanding upon support framework and ease of doing business. In line with his vision of the region’s substantial potential, Khaled believes that centralized support is needed for budding entrepreneurs, startups, and SMEs.

In early 2019, Khaled was officially appointed to the role of President of the Saudi Sports for All Federation, under the Saudi Ministry of Sports, driving an initiative that unifies various sports and further builds upon the Kingdom’s dedication to a healthy and active citizenry. He is also an active Board Member of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee.
