HE Dr Ahmad bin Abdullah Humaid Belhoul Al Falasi, UAE Cabinet Member and Minister of State for Higher Education and Advanced Skills, recently met with Arada Vice Chairman HRH Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed at the Arada headquarters in Dubai Festival City.
Dr Belhoul was given a tour of the Arada office by Prince Khaled and Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, the CEO of Arada, and reviewed progress at Aljada, the developer’s record-breaking lifestyle community in Sharjah.
The Minister was also given a briefing on Nest, a new student housing community for the UAE that is being built at Aljada, and which is located just 10 minutes’ walk away from Sharjah’s University City.
Nest, which is being launched on 19 March at Acres Real Estate Exhibition at Expo Center Sharjah, is being built to address the UAE’s need for more student accommodation as the country puts education at the heart of its national development programmes.
Spread over a 35,000 square metre area on the University City side of Aljada, Nest features a total of 10 five-story buildings, all of which have been carefully designed with internal courtyards and spaces that provide meeting spaces for residents. Each block contains a selection of studios and two-, four-, five- and eight-bed dormitories, alongside laundry rooms, shared TV rooms and study areas. Different parts of the community have been allocated to accommodation for men and women, ensuring comfort and privacy for every tenant.
Featuring unrivalled design and amenities, construction on the 10-building complex will start in the first quarter of 2020, with completion scheduled for end-2021.
